Makeup for Glasses Wearers

Hello Fashionistas!!!

I'm so excited that I have the rest of the week off from my internship due to Independence Day. Don't get me wrong, I totally love the experience of working as a bioengineer, but I'm so excited to finally do a makeup post for glasses wearers. I'm a daily glasses wearer, and without them I couldn't get around. I don't wear contacts because I have year round allergies (instead of seasonal allergies like most people). I only wear makeup maybe twice a month, but when I do, I always wear colors that compliment my frames.

When you wear glasses, attention is instantly drawn to your face, so your makeup should be clean and defined. I always opt for a more natural look due to the sensitivity of my skin, but there are many types of looks that you can try.

Basic Black Frames

If you wear basic black glasses, spice up your look by wearing a bold colored lipstick or gloss. This will make you look elegant, and if your frames are thick, you will notice how the bold color balances your face.

Compliment your Frames

I have frames in many different colors, so I tend to wear eyeshadow that compliment my frames. For example, if your frames are earth toned in color, wear eyeshadow or blush that are warm toned. Then add a soft pink or peach gloss. This will give you a soft, harmonious look.

Define

If you love your eyes and like the au naturale look, define your eyes, by adding a waterproof mascara and eyeliner, (so that it won't get on your glasses), and add the gloss of your choice.

Conceal

When you've worn glasses for so long, your eye area becomes even more noticeable. Glasses can make your eyes appear puffier and AMPLIFY YOUR DARK CIRCLES!!!  No matter what age you are, glasses wearers must invest in a great concealer and conceal the eye areas well. This will make your eyes look bright and fresh.

Amazing Eyebrows

When you wear glasses, the shape of your eyebrows comes into play. Brows help to frame your face, so creating a shape that compliments your glasses is of great importance.

Do any of you ladies wear glasses? What type of makeup would you wear?

I hope you all enjoyed this post. If you're having trouble viewing anything on this page, please visit my backup blog, I am Fashion, Iamfashion101.blogspot.com. Thank you all so much for your lovely comments on my previous post, and I'd also like you all to send prayers to fellow blogger, Lenya of "Fashion, Dreams, and Lifestyle"(Fashiondreamsandlifestyle.blogspot.com). She was in a minor accident, but she still has some light bruising and on bed rest. Happy Hump Day!!!

    1. Thanks for commenting, Coco!! Since you only wear glasses for work, does any of these tips apply to you? Or did you happen to choose a frame for work? And also thanks for showing your concern for Lenya. Even though it was a minor accident, it's always great to know someone cares. :) have a great day!
